FAQ

Straight answers on sponsorship and pricing.

How much does a nonprofit corporate sponsorship consultant cost?

TAF Advisory Group uses flat fees. A Partnership Readiness Assessment is $3,000, Sponsorship Package and Valuation runs $5,000 to $10,000, a 90-day Corporate Prospecting Sprint is $3,000 per month, and a Fractional Partnerships Director starts at $4,675 per month. Nonprofits receive 15% off general consulting services.

Do you charge a percentage of the sponsorship money you raise?

No. TAF never charges a commission or a percentage of funds raised. Percentage-based fees conflict with the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Code of Ethical Standards, so every engagement is a flat fee agreed up front.

How should a nonprofit price its corporate sponsorship packages?

Start with an inventory of every place a sponsor gets visibility or access in a year: events, email, social, signage, reports, and program naming. Value each asset by audience size and fit, compare against similar local opportunities, then group assets into three to five tiers with clear benefits and renewal terms. Price from sponsor value, not from last year's sheet.

What is a Partnership Readiness Assessment?

A two to three week review of a nonprofit's sponsorship assets, current partners, pricing, CRM data, and staff capacity. It produces a readiness score, a gap report, and a prioritized plan for growing corporate revenue.

What is the difference between a corporate sponsorship and a donation?

Under IRS rules (Section 513(i)), a qualified sponsorship payment can include acknowledgment of the sponsor's name and logo without being taxed as advertising income. Benefits that cross into advertising, such as price comparisons, endorsements, or calls to buy, can create unrelated business income. Sponsor benefits should be worded as acknowledgment.

Do you work with organizations outside Miami?

Yes. TAF works in person across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties and remotely with organizations anywhere in the United States.

Which CRM systems do you work with?

TAF builds pipeline, stage, and KPI reporting in Salesforce, Raiser's Edge NXT, and similar CRM platforms, and can stand up a lightweight system for teams that are still tracking deals in spreadsheets.

How quickly will we see results?

Assessments and diagnostics deliver a written plan in two to three weeks. Prospecting sprints run 90 days with weekly reporting on outreach, meetings, and proposals, so leadership sees pipeline movement within the first month.
